ABOUT The snapdragon bloom spans three seasons beginning in the spring and ending in an engaging fall blossom. The flower on this plant resembles the mouth of its namesake, the mouth of a dragon, that can be opened and closed much like a puppet, providing a beautiful visual effect and fun entertainment for children. The wide range of colors the snapdragon comes in provides an endless opportunity for a colorful garden. These unique flowers have a delightful fragrant scent.
DESIGN Snapdragons grow upright with branching stems and come in four sizes: dwarf, short, intermediate, and tall, making them a versatile addition to your landscape. They are favored for their diverse usability in flower beds and as cut flowers. The shorter versions may be used in rock gardens or as edging, while taller versions may work well in dry gardens.
CAUTION Safe and low risk in most gardens for humans and pets. Mild resistance to deer but attractive to pollinators such as bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
