ABOUT Pompon style dahlia’s can tolerate full sun exposure, try placing them in areas that get plenty of sunshine. Common bloom seasons for dahlia’s begins in the summer and continues to mid or late fall. Their preferred soil type is clay and sand that should be kept well drained but able to stay moist. Dahlia’s can be planted or transplanted until mid June, after this temperatures may not be ideal.

DESIGN These beauties make for long lasting floral arrangements. In the garden they are attractive to butterflies. These flowers are particularly stunning along walkways where visitors can enjoy their blooms.

CAUTION Dahlia’s are generally considered mildly toxic to pets and may cause gastrointestinal issues as well as dermatitis. In humans dahlia’s may trigger allergies.
